- If you want paragraph returns to automatically insert a
<br>tag instead of wrapping into a new paragraph, ensure the Preserve Line Breaks checkbox is ticked. - Click Copy HTML and paste the output directly into your WordPress blog, static website, or email client.

Why use Markdown instead of HTML?
Writing raw HTML code (typing out every <p> and <strong> tag) is incredibly slow and distracts writers from focusing on their content. Markdown was invented specifically to solve this problem. It allows you to write using standard, easy-to-type symbols. For example, typing # Title is instantly recognizable to a human, and much faster than typing <h1>Title</h1>.
However, web browsers do not natively understand Markdown files. In order for your website to render your bold text, links, and images properly, the Markdown must be converted back into HTML. This process is called "parsing" or "compiling." This tool bridges the gap, allowing you to write in human-readable Markdown and instantly export machine-readable HTML.
The Content Creator Suite
If you need to generate a complex table for your document, use our visual Markdown Table Generator. To check the length of your compiled essay, drop your text into our Word & Character Counter. If you want to automatically format the resulting HTML code to look beautiful, use the HTML Formatter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this tool support Markdown Tables?
Yes! Because this engine is fully compliant with GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM), it perfectly compiles Markdown tables into standard HTML <table>, <tr>, and <td> elements.
What does 'Preserve Line Breaks' do?
Standard markdown completely ignores single line breaks (you must hit 'Enter' twice to start a new paragraph). When this option is checked, the parser respects every single enter key you press, inserting a manual <br> HTML tag.
Are my documents sent to a server?
No. We respect your intellectual property. All markdown processing happens securely inside your local browser. Nothing is ever sent over the internet.
Is it free?
Yes, 100% free with no limits.
